Archive for February, 2012

Time to dust off the footy and head to the park. The Boston Lady Demons will be having a kick in the Boston Common this Saturday, March 3 from 11 to about 1 PM.

For potential new members, this is an opportunity to meet some of us and start to learn about Aussie Rules Football.  We’ll be teaching kicks, passes and we may even bust out some tackle maneuvers.

Rain or shine….look for flying pink footies, on the field near Frog Pond (corner of Charles and Beacon-ish).

Jen kicking in our first Metro footy game of 2011...

The Boston Demons and Boston Lady Demons are looking for coaches for the 2012 season. Inquire within. Or just complete this nifty form and we’ll get in touch with you.

Uh yeah, we do stuff like this ALL the time...

Come join the Lady Dees for a drink on Thursday February 23 at Dillon’s in Back Bay. We’re looking forward to meeting you and answering any and all questions you may have about the sport, playing the sport, loving the sport, the team… well, you get the drift!

Polar Bear Plunge – Roundup

Posted: February 8, 2012 in General Posts

It was bitterly cold early one Saturday morning, when five daring women stripped to their skivvies and jogged across a quarter mile of sand towards the frigid ocean. Some dove gracefully into the shallow water, others splashed in a bit more modestly, all of them secretly thinking “Why did I agree to do this again?!”

The Boston Lady Demons Polar Bear Plunge took place on January 28, 2012 at 10 AM in South Boston. Thanks to the generous support of our friends and devoted fans, the club raised over S1300 for this event and we couldn’t be more stoked! We’d like to thank you, and remind you to watch this space for the next round of fun from the Boston Lady Demons.
